DESCRIPTION
Multicultural Alliance Health Care Solutions (MAHCS) is currently seeking In-Home Therapists to provide culturally competent and community-based (home and school) individual and family therapy services. A large part of the caseload includes children and adolescents as well as adults, and court-ordered clients located in Broward County. Candidates must be willing to work on a fee-for-service basis and be open to working mostly afternoon and evening hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate weekly therapy sessions with client/family
Complete progress notes, treatment plan reviews, FARS/CFARS, and discharge summaries following Medicaid standards
Prepare court reports
Attend minimum of monthly supervision with the MAHCS Clinical Supervisor
Communicate effectively with case managers, referrals sources, and the MAHCS team
REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy/Education (MHC, MSW, MFT)
Bilingual – Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Portuguese (preferred, but not required)
Experience in completing clinically and grammatically correct documentation
Practical experience with therapeutic models including play therapy, solution focused, and CBT
Registered Intern with the state of Florida (Preferred)
At least 1 year experience working with children who demonstrate behavioral concerns (Preferred)
Certified in Trauma focused therapy and/or play therapy (Preferred)
